The Roy Lab

Big congratulations to Victor and Gary, the legends in our field, for winning the 2024 Nobel Prize. It has been the second Nobel Prize that is awarded to the small RNAs fileld in Caenorhabditis elegans, and the third Nobel Prize for Caenorhabditis elegans scientists in the past two decades. This little nematode truely is an amazing model organism, isn't it!

Welcome to the Roy Lab

We are interested in understanding how cells control cell division in response to various cues. Most of our work focuses on developmental quiescence and how to regulate periods of cell cycle arrest, but we are also interested in almost everything associated with the development and physiology of organisms, especially C. elegans.
